Great communication, turned my repair around quickly and for a great price

I booked in my Hilux for a clutch replacement a week in advance. When I arrived I was told that no parts were ordered and a job that should take a day would maybe be completed in 4 days. I needed the clutch replaced to go on a trip. The day before my trip I get a call from the mechanic that my car hasn't even been looked at. I now have to hire or loan a car, last minute, to go on my work trip. Very unsatisfied. No accountability on the mechanic.

Really bad service. I went for a basic service. The mechanic found so many issues with my car and I was told to repair it. I had to put an extra $300(which he wanted in cash) on top of my basic service which cost me $150. Also they advertised afterpay available everywhere and when I was about to pay, he told me there is no afterpay. He was really rude. I also had a car vaccum for free. He didn't even do any vaccum and lied to me he did it. Terrible service.

Don't use Mr Zippy. Customer beware. Mr Zippy, as he trades, is a rip off.
Amir is rude abusive and aggressive, unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews until it was too late. Mr Zippy quoted $99 to look at my cars aircon which wasn’t working. A 20mins job. Not a problem. If Amir wasn’t so greedy he would have been happy with the $99 inspection charge +$22 for the relay switch. but No, Amir informed me it would be $99 inspection fee + $22 for the relay switch + a further $210 for regassing the vehicle, I assumed he’d take the $99 off whatever needed to be done, but no, that was not the case. It turns out it was only a $22 relay switch (+ the further $210 to Regas the vehicle according to Amir, was NOT required, a total of $331). I would have had the (unnecessary) work carried out, if Amir had removed his inspection charge. When I questioned the cost of the regassing, (as I phoned around to get an approximate price, beforehand, thinking that was the possible problem, but couldn’t get the work done till Saturday) I realised the price of the regassing was excessive and well overpriced. 
 When I mentioned this to Amir, (Mr Zippy as he trades) then became agitated rude and aggressive, so I told him not to bother doing the work. I took it elsewhere and paid a further $125 to have it checked (and as previously informed by Mr Zippy, had the relay switch replaced) and the Airconditioning worked fine, no gassing required. I still came out in front of what I would have paid had I have had the work done by Mr Zippy.

No hassles here. So helpful to me and great price!

Supposedly diagnosed the problem with the aircon. I reluctantly ok’d the fix at the $650 price Mr Zippy asked. Rang to say the car was ready. I went to collect the car and paid the bill, foolishly taking his word the problem had been fixed.  I got in the car to drive away and  the aircon was still blowing hot. Mr Zippy asked me to leave it with him and “I’ll fix it”, “I’ll look after you”. He then went ahead with further repairs that doubled the price ($1250) of the fix without a phone call or any consultation. The first I heard of the new (doubled) price was when I went to collect the car. It felt like wrong. As I said to the mechanic at that he time I would never have gone ahead with the repair if the true cost upfront. As I had already paid a significant amount the options I had were to accept the doubled price or have the old compressor reinstalled and have paid $600 for effectively no repair. Not a good experience.

The communication was excellent, and the service was fantastic. Will be recommending Mr Zippy to my friends and family for sure. Super pleased with the whole experience!
