The Manager and his off-sider were friendly, polite and courteous. For a major service, the report said oil and brake fluid were changed but there was no mention of other checks which should have been done except battery was low, cabin air filter needed cleaning and some minor oil leaks. I would have expected checks on brake pads+discs, fluid levels, tyre conditions, etc. Also, there was a surcharge of 1.5% for using credit card BUT it was waived by the Manager. In my presence, the Manager spoke a foreign language with his workers which made it difficult to understand what they were talking about. ... view more

Hi Mir, We thank you for taking the time to review us. On the copy of the invoice that you were given, it says "Oil Service and Safety Check". Our Safety Check Procedure is a comprehensive check list that includes brake pads & discs, fluid levels and tyre conditions. You can see our Comprehensive 101 Point Vehicle Checklist here: https://canaanmotor.com.au/services/ (please scroll down the page). For Vehicle Servicing, we always perform all the checks listed here. On the invoice, we highlight all issues that we have found from these Safety checks. Anything that passes the checks are not listed. During our conversation, I went through the issues that we have found from these checks. We wouldn't have been able to find these issues if we hadn't performed all the checks. Everything else on your vehicle was fine, and I have said this verbally as well. The 1.5% credit card surcharge was imposed onto us by the bank to process the payment. In regards to the language spoken, we were talking about an urgent matter involving our neighbour who works at the petrol station next door. His Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) was not working. This device is needed for his business' operations, and we were helping him buy a replacement. He can vouch for us. We ask you for your understanding.
